Welcome to your magical vacation!

There's nothing quite like the magic of Disneyland! Step through the gates and you are transported to a fairytale world. In the Disneyland park, with Sleeping Beauty’s iconic castle, the old-timey feel of mains treet, and the knowledge that so much adventure awaits, there is no other feeling like it. In California Adventure Park you’re in a magical land that transports you from iconic movies to experiences in other parts of the great state of California. All in one place!

We spent our first afternoon and evening in Downtown Disney wandering the shops, marveling at the Lego Store’s displays, and getting our Disney snack fix. We went back a few more times during our stay to check out different restaurants, go back into our favorite shops, and soak in the atmosphere. It’s a cozy small-town feeling with a splash of Disney magic. We stayed at the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel. It’s castle-like architecture, beautiful landscaping, and its own princess back story transport you to a magical land of it’s own before you ever step foot in the parks! The food was delicious, the room comfortable and clean, and the pool a relaxing place to unwind. We could see the nightly fireworks from the property and the free shuttle between the hotel and the parks was extremely convenient. We could have walked to the parks if the mood struck, that’s how close they are!

I recommend getting to the park early, in time for rope drop. We had fewer crowds to navigate, more time to enjoy all the parks have to offer, and the opening ceremonies set the tone for the day perfectly. One of our favorite experiences in the parks is meeting the characters. Treasured memories come from getting their autograph and taking photos with them. Whether we happened to catch them while they were out or at a character breakfast, there is nothing quite like it. At our character breakfast, we loved eating delicious food while the characters took turns coming to the table for photos and autographs. Then it was time to explore the parks, find our favorite rides, snack on delectable mickey shaped food, and shop for souvenirs. We took advantage of the Photopass which was absolutely worth it, we got amazing photos, some with magical touches, and we didn’t have to bother other park guests or leave out a family member for the perfect shot. Making a few dining reservations ensured we had the chance to try the restaurants we had on our list! The magic pass and lightning lane systems gave us a little structure in our day and allowed us access to the rides we wanted to be sure to experience. The fireworks were amazing to watch in the park, grabbing a spot to watch gave us time to slow down and enjoy each other’s company.

Disney’s California Adventure Park also offers amazing experiences. Being big fans of the Cars movies we were thrilled to go to CarsLand and experience a real life Radiator Springs, it really is like being in the movie! We spent a calmer day in this park, riding rides and wandering through CarsLand. It’s just as magical with a slightly slower pace.

No matter where we spent our time it was a magical trip of a lifetime. So many treasured memories were made that will last a lifetime and created a family bond that can’t be beat. I’m excited to help you experience your own magical trip, let’s get planning!
