I recently had the pleasure of embarking on my first Disney cruise with my best friend and travel partner, Stef. It was a dream come true, visiting one of my lifetime desired destinations, Mexico, and revisiting the Bahamas. Every day aboard the Disney Dream was truly magical.Upon boarding, we were greeted by an honor guard of cast members who made us feel like we had stepped into a fairytale at sea, complete with an exquisite chandelier. Our first stop was the Senses Spa, where we explored everything from acupuncture and a gym to a luxury salon and Coolsculpting services. We opted for the Rainforest Room package and a massage, gaining access to multiple heated beds, four special showers (each with three rinse settings), three saunas, and two hot tubs for the entire voyage. And just one of the great experiences that was a more than worthwhile investment. Every day was filled with activities. There was a movie theater, several trivia games, seminars, Broadway-quality performances, and, of course, Disney's signature fireworks shows at sea. The dining experience was one of the highlights. In addition to the daily high-quality breakfast and lunch buffets, there were three signature complimentary restaurants that each dining group rotated through each night:Royal Palace, inspired by Disney Princesses; Animator's Palate, modeled after an animator's studio with active screens showcasing some of Disney's best animations and their early renditions; And Enchanted Garden, designed to evoke the foothills of France. Our first port of call was Cozumel, where we enjoyed exploring local stores and art. I highly recommend Mayan Fiesta Rum Cake Co. for a delicious souvenir! Our final port was the exclusive Disney-owned island, Castaway Cay, in the Bahamas. We spent the entire day on the pristine adult-only beach, enjoyed a beach barbecue, and found some island-exclusive Disney souvenirs. One of the most exciting aspects was the themed nights. Pirate Night was particularly thrilling for me, and Marvel Day at Sea was exhilarating. Each themed night featured exclusive and impressive original performances on the main deck. The Disney Dream also showcased three incredible Broadway-style shows: "The Golden Mickeys," "Beauty and the Beast," and "Disney's Believe."There was so much to do and so many friends to make. I would be delighted to help you plan your next Disney Cruise Line voyage so you can experience the magic for yourself!
