Iconic Eiffel Tower

What a fantastic trip we had. Started in Lake Como and took in the incredible beauty of the area. Hopped aboard the ferry that takes you all around to the different towns. Met some new friends along the way, even an adorable furry one. Had delicious pizza in a local trattoria and sipped on some delicious local white Italian wine. And of course had gelato in dark chocolate and dulche de leche (caramel)! Every bite you have in Italy tastes better than anything you have ever tasted. We ventured on to Rome and were able to take a tour to skip the lines at the Colosseum. Thanks Viator! Saw the Trevi Fountains and Pantheon at night. So beautiful. Continued on to Tuscany and took in Florence and Pisa. The architecture, skyline and food was beyond amazing. We climbed The Leaning Tower! The view was definitely worth it. Venice was next. Took a ride in a gondola mid afternoon and saw the sun set over this incredibly city. Shopped for venetian glass and other trinkets. Definitely a great place to find unique gifts for sure.  Stood in the Grand place and took in the beauty of St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace. Ate the most delicious and fresh Caprese salad and Margarita pizza sitting on the canal while sipping on a yummy Italian white wine. We saved the best for last Paris! I have been going to Paris my whole life and it never loses its magic. Strolling down the Champs Elysees shopping and seeing in the Arc de Triomphe is iconic. This time we made our way to the top of the Eiffel Tower just in time to see a plane spray the colors of the French flag because it was the Tour de France that day! Bikers were all around the city and we were lucky enough to catch the medal ceremony at the end of the day. Notre Dame is still under construction but is still a must see. The Louvre is closeby and is always on my list. I love the crystal pyramid at night. When you are there be sure to have a fresh pain du chocolat at a local patisserie and indulge in some macarons. Had some tasty escargot in a garlic butter sauce with a crusty baguette. J'adore Paris!
