Virgin Voyages Greek Island Glow Cruise

Unforgettable Adventures on My Virgin Voyages Cruise

Embarking on a Virgin Voyages cruise has been one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. It all began in Athens, where I spent a day immersed in the rich history of the Acropolis, Parthenon, Agora, and Temple of Zeus. Despite the heat, the awe-inspiring sights were worth every moment.

Day 1: Setting Sail:I arrived at the dock in Athens, eagerly boarding the Virgin Resilient Lady. The first night kicked off with a lively pajama party, setting a fun and relaxed tone for the journey ahead.

Day 2: Exploring Santorini: Our first stop was the breathtaking Santorini Island. Visiting the Akrotiri Ruins was like stepping back in time. The rest of the day was spent soaking in the island's beauty, with its iconic whitewashed buildings and stunning views.

Day 3: Relaxation in Rhodes: Choosing to unwind in Rhodes was a brilliant decision. I spent a magical day at Kallethia Springs, lounging in a comfortable chair, swimming in crystal clear waters, and strolling through beautiful gardens. The tranquility was exactly what I needed. That evening, dinner at Pink Agave followed by an incredible show was a perfect end to the day.

Day 4: Discovering Turkey: Turkey was a pleasant surprise. We journeyed to the ancient city of Ephesus, where the history and architecture were simply astounding. Despite the intense heat, the experience was unforgettable. We also visited a site believed to be where the Virgin Mary lived, enjoyed a Greek picnic lunch with traditional dancing, and learned about the intricate art of Turkish rug-making. The day concluded with Scarlet Night on the ship, a vibrant party where everything turned red as the night progressed.

Day 5: Sea Day and Celebrations: Kevan’s 50th birthday coincided with our sea day, making it extra special. We celebrated with brunch, relaxed by the pool, and enjoyed various shows. It was a leisurely day filled with joy and laughter.

Day 6: Magical Mykonos: Mykonos quickly became a favorite. The island's winding streets and hidden nooks were a delight to explore. The afternoon was spent sailing, swimming, and watching the sunset over Little Venice. Returning to the ship, which was beautifully lit up, felt almost surreal.

Day 7: Exploring Delos: We had an overnight stay in Mykonos, allowing for more exploration. An early morning walking tour of the old town provided great photo opportunities. Later, we visited Delos, an archaeological site and the mythological birthplace of Apollo. Walking among the ancient ruins, including Doric temples, markets, and the iconic Terrace of the Lions statues, was a surreal experience. Our final evening together was spent enjoying delicious Italian food at Extra Virgin and a nightcap at On the Rocks, bidding a heartfelt "see you later" to new friends as we prepared to continue our journey to Croatia.

This Virgin Voyages cruise has been an adventure of a lifetime, filled with history, relaxation, and unforgettable moments. Each destination offered its own unique charm, making every day a new discovery. I can't wait to see what Croatia has in store!#VirginVoyages
