Let's take a step away from the strife of everyday life and live in the moment. The locals of Cairns enjoy a laid-back, tropical lifestyle. Start your day in one of the vibrant cafes for locally roasted coffee and breakfast. If you want to walk off your breakfast for space to enjoy an even better lunch, take a stroll through the Esplanade in the morning for a peaceful vibe. In the mornings, you will be able to see the local fisherman heading out for the day to supply the restaurants with fresh seafood. After the stroll through the Esplanade, head on over to the farmer's market to grab some fresh produce, local food, or handmade souvenirs.


Cairns offers several beaches to unwind at, from the more tourist areas to the more calm and tranquil "hidden" beaches, there is something for every beach goer. Remember the Esplanade, it's just as beautiful in the evenings as it is in the morning. An intriguing part about Cairns, is that there are night markets that are different than the markets that are set up in the mornings. The night markets are open daily until late, for the locals to shop after dinner or after they get off work. The markets offer live music from the local Indie bands.


The locals are passionate about sports, especially rugby and AFL (Australian Football League). Head on over to a pub, watch a game, enjoy some good eats and a cold beverage.


If you want the rain forest experience, a short jaunt north offers stunning views of the Daintree Rain forest which is home to one of the worlds oldest rain forests.


Whatever you desire in a relaxing getaway, Cairns is a lovely place to enjoy it.

Montreal in the snow
For those that have not seen snow, or for those that have, but want to see more of it... Montreal in February is gorgeous! I wanted to go to this event in Montreal, but hadn't even been out of the United States yet. Dre was able to help me figure out the requirements for entry into the country, amazing lodging in Old Montreal, and some of the best restaurants that I had ever been to. I've lived south of snow my entire life, and Dre was there to help me navigate my first time seeing snow in person. I had an absolute amazing time and am already planning a trip to go back in the fall!

Wonderous Trip!
The Yukon is a vast and open area, but the beauty of the area is unmatched no matter the season. We traveled to the area during the fall, ooooooooo and the leaf watchers would love being there during this time of year. We even got to see the northern lights. Dre recommended this area because we wanted to see the gorgeous fall colors but in a different area. We've been up the eastern coast of the United States already, and wanted to experience the fall in an equally beautiful area. We were not disappointed.

Niagara Falls Wedding
I enlisted Dre to help me surprise my now wife with a trip to Niagara Falls. My wife wanted to go to Canada for a honeymoon, but was torn on where to get married. So we gathered up the maid of honor and both sets of parents and we got to work. Dre sat with us on conference calls to take all of our ideas into account and even helped us with keeping our total budget in mind for this destination wedding. I don't know where we'd be if Dre wasn't as mindful as she was about all of the ideas we had in mind.

42 Wallaby Way...
Finding Nemo inspired this trip to Sydney and the Great Barrier Reef (GBR). When my husband approached Dre with our kids' desire to see Dory, Marlin, and Nemo, she knew just what to do. She made sure that we had a trip out to the GBR and that we knew what to expect during our trip, as we went during Box Jelly mating season. It was well worth it though. We were able to snorkel, see green sea turtles, the coral reef and a number of its inhabitants. She made sure to give us tips on when to see the opera house in its best light and how to get the iconic views. We even toured the area where the olympics were held in Sydney. We had so much fun and plan to use her services again to visit the other states/territories in Australia.

Nothing like the great outdoors
My husband and I decided that we wanted to pack the family up and go Canada. We hadn't been out of the country yet, but wanted to go to some place that resembled something close to home. Just to get our feet wet with the international travel thing. We weren't too keen on being completely isolated when journeying into completely new territory to us, and Dre told us of this place just a few minutes north of Vancouver. We were able to go hiking on some trails to view the waterfalls and also got to view the powdery blue water of the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time together in the outdoors while also getting to try out some of the local cuisine.
