Explore the Nymphenburg Palace, a Baroque masterpiece with sprawling gardens.Beer lovers will enjoy the legendary Hofbräuhaus or the beer gardens at Englischer Garten, one of the largest urban parks in the world. Don’t miss local specialties like Weisswurst (white sausage) paired with freshly baked pretzels.Day 3-4: Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau – Fairytale CastlesVenture south to the Alpine foothills to visit Neuschwanstein Castle, the enchanting fortress that inspired Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle. The resort offered incredible amenities, including an oceanfront pool with private cabanas, a spa for ultimate relaxation, and dining options that highlighted fresh, local flavors. It was the perfect place to unwind and soak in the beauty of Clearwater Beach.Of course, no visit to Clearwater would be complete without experiencing the award-winning Clearwater Beach. Known for its soft, powdery sand and calm, turquoise waters, it’s easy to see why this beach consistently ranks as one of the top beaches in the country. Whether you’re building sandcastles with the kids, enjoying a quiet walk along the shoreline, or taking a dip in the gentle waves, Clearwater Beach is the ultimate destination for relaxation and fun in the sun.For adventure-seekers, Clearwater offers a variety of activities on and off the water. One of our favorite experiences was taking a dolphin-watching tour with The Little Toot, a family-friendly boat ride that brings you up close with playful dolphins in their natural habitat. Watching these amazing creatures leap through the wake was an experience we’ll never forget. If you’re looking for a little more thrill, jet ski rentals, paddleboarding, and parasailing are all readily available to add excitement to your beach day.Pier 60 quickly became our favorite spot for evening entertainment. Every night, the pier transforms into a hub of activity with live performers, local artisans, and family-friendly fun. And, of course, the nightly Sunset Celebration is a must-see. Watching the sun dip below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of pink and gold, was a breathtaking way to end each day.Clearwater isn’t just about the beach—it’s also home to incredible marine life and educational opportunities. A visit to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium is perfect for families and animal lovers. This non-profit aquarium is home to rescued dolphins, sea turtles, and other marine animals, including Winter the Dolphin, who inspired the movie Dolphin Tale. It’s an experience that combines fun and education, leaving you with a deeper appreciation for marine conservation.Foodies will also find plenty to love in Clearwater. From fresh seafood to laid-back beachside dining, the culinary scene here does not disappoint. We enjoyed the laid-back vibe at Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill, where we dined on their famous grouper sandwiches while watching the waves roll in. For a special evening, Caretta on the Gulf at Sandpearl Resort offered stunning ocean views and an elegant dining experience with dishes highlighting local, seasonal ingredients.A short drive from Clearwater took us to Caladesi Island State Park, one of Florida’s hidden gems. Accessible only by ferry, this untouched island offered pristine beaches, nature trails, and a sense of serenity that’s hard to find elsewhere. It’s the perfect spot for those looking to escape the crowds and reconnect with nature.Beyond the beach and attractions, what truly made this trip special was the laid-back vibe and welcoming community of Clearwater.
