This Caribbean island, a U.S. territory, offers the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion, making it an ideal destination for all types of travelers.Day 1: Arrival and Old San JuanArrive in San Juan, Puerto Rico’s capital, and start your trip by exploring Old San Juan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Afterward, take a stroll through Paseo de la Princesa, a picturesque promenade that leads you along the city’s ancient walls. For lunch, stop at Cafetería Mallorca for a traditional Puerto Rican sandwich or some sweet pastries. In the afternoon, explore the art galleries and boutiques in Old San Juan, picking up local crafts and souvenirs. Enjoy a dinner at La Fortaleza, one of the island’s top-rated restaurants, offering a mix of local cuisine with a modern twist.End the day with a walk along La Perla, the colorful seaside neighborhood immortalized in the "Despacito" music video, or visit La Factoria, one of the world’s best cocktail bars, for an unforgettable evening.Day 2: El Yunque Rainforest and Luquillo BeachStart the morning with a visit to El Yunque National Forest, the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest system. Hike through lush greenery, cascading waterfalls, and tropical flora. Be sure to visit La Mina Falls, where you can take a refreshing dip in the natural pools beneath the waterfall. After a morning of hiking, head to nearby Luquillo Beach to unwind. This popular beach is known for its calm waters and golden sands, making it perfect for swimming and relaxing. Grab lunch from one of the beachside kiosks (known as kioskos), where you can try local favorites like mofongo (fried plantain dish) or pinchos (grilled meat skewers). In the evening, travel to Fajardo for a magical experience at Laguna Grande, one of Puerto Rico’s bioluminescent bays. Book a night kayak tour and paddle through glowing waters that light up as you move, thanks to the microscopic organisms in the water that produce light when disturbed.Day 3: Culebra Island and Flamenco BeachTake a day trip to Culebra Island, home to one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, Flamenco Beach. For lunch, grab a bite from one of the beachside vendors serving fresh seafood, coconut water, and local delicacies. After a day of sun and sand, return to San Juan and enjoy dinner at Raíces, a restaurant famous for its traditional Puerto Rican dishes like arroz con gandules (rice with pigeon peas) and lechón (roast pork).Day 4: Ponce and the Southern CoastOn your final full day, take a road trip to Ponce, the island’s second-largest city, located on the southern coast. Known for its rich cultural and architectural heritage, Ponce is home to several important landmarks. Start your day at Parque de Bombas, a historic firehouse turned museum, and then visit the Museo de Arte de Ponce, which houses one of the largest art collections in the Caribbean.Stroll through Plaza Las Delicias, the city’s central square, and enjoy a coffee or ice cream at a local café. For lunch, visit La Guancha Boardwalk, where you can enjoy fresh seafood while watching pelicans and local fishermen along the shore. In the afternoon, head to Caja de Muertos Island, just a short boat ride from Ponce. This uninhabited island offers secluded beaches, hiking trails, and stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. If you prefer not to leave the mainland, visit La Playa de Ponce, a serene beach perfect for a relaxing afternoon.Return to San Juan for a farewell dinner at Santaella, a chic restaurant blending traditional Puerto Rican flavors with modern cuisine.Day 5: Departure and Last-Minute ExplorationSpend your last morning exploring any parts of San Juan you might have missed, or simply enjoy a leisurely breakfast at Café Cuatro Sombras before heading to the airport. If time allows, visit La Placita de Santurce, a lively marketplace known for its fresh produce by day and vibrant nightlife after dark. Before you depart, pick up some local coffee or Don Q Rum as a reminder of your time on this beautiful island.SummaryPuerto Rico offers an unbeatable combination of stunning beaches, vibrant history, outdoor adventure, and unique culture. Char recommended we visited the nearby Wynwood Walls as lovers of beautiful murals. Also most memorable was either sugar or Rosa Sky rooftop bars that offered stunning views of the Miami skyline for a wonderful end to our evening.

Excellent Advisor
Char was excellent!! Our trip to South Beach was planned beautifully and even though there was a problem checking into the hotel she stayed professional and calmly advise us on how best to proceed. I am telling everyone about her, the trip itself was amazing but it was her service that truly amazed us all.
