Istanbul
Istanbul

Turkey is a captivating destination that straddles Europe and Asia, offering a unique blend of history, culture, breathtaking landscapes, and delicious cuisine. Whether you're wandering through the bustling streets of Istanbul, marveling at the ancient ruins of Ephesus, or taking a hot air balloon ride over the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia, Turkey provides an unforgettable travel experience.

Istanbul, the country’s cultural and historical heart, is a must-visit, with iconic landmarks such as the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar. A Bosphorus cruise offers stunning views of the city’s skyline, where East meets West. Cappadocia, famous for its surreal rock formations and underground cities, is best experienced from above during a sunrise hot air balloon ride. For those interested in natural wonders, Pamukkale’s white travertine terraces and the nearby ancient city of Hierapolis provide a mesmerizing sight. The ancient city of Ephesus, one of the best-preserved archaeological sites in the world, showcases the grandeur of the Library of Celsus and the Temple of Artemis. Meanwhile, coastal destinations like Antalya and Bodrum offer a mix of stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife, and historical sites, making them perfect for a relaxing getaway. For history enthusiasts, Mount Nemrut, with its massive stone heads from the 1st century BC, is an awe-inspiring UNESCO-listed site.

No trip to Turkey is complete without indulging in its rich cuisine. Traditional kebabs, ranging from Adana to döner, are packed with flavor, while meze plates offer a delightful variety of small appetizers like hummus and stuffed grape leaves. Sweet lovers must try baklava, a delicious pastry made with layers of filo, nuts, and syrup. Pide, often referred to as Turkish pizza, is another popular dish, and no meal is complete without a cup of strong Turkish coffee or tea served in tulip-shaped glasses.

The best time to visit Turkey depends on your itinerary. Spring (April–June) and autumn (September–November) offer pleasant weather and fewer crowds, making them ideal for sightseeing. Summer (July–August) is perfect for beach destinations, though inland areas can be quite hot. Winter (December–February) brings a quieter atmosphere in Istanbul and excellent skiing opportunities in places like Uludag.

Before traveling, it’s important to check visa requirements, as many nationalities can apply for an e-visa. The Turkish Lira (TRY) is the local currency, and credit cards are widely accepted. When visiting mosques, dressing modestly and removing shoes is expected. Turkey’s transportation system is well-developed, with domestic flights, buses, and an extensive metro network in Istanbul making travel easy.

Whether you’re seeking history, adventure, relaxation, or culinary delights, Turkey promises an unforgettable journey filled with diverse experiences.

Trip throughout Japan
Michael made arrangements for us to travel from Tokyo, Mount Fuji and Hakone by bullet train to Osaka, Kyoto and Nara. He arranged all the activities for us and made it so easy! We overnighted in Hiroshima and even visited a Shinto temple on Miyajima. Then back to Osaka and home! We did just the right amount of sightseeing. Michael was a tremendous help and Advisor.

One of My Top Travel Experiences - Australia
I used them to book my trip to Australia and I was extremely pleased with everything. It started with a conversation of where, when, etc. and it translated into a seamless & well organized trip. My flight to LA with a connecting flight to Melbourne went without a hitch. Mr. Bitsas is well traveled and was able to recommend some places he experienced when he went to Australia. He also connected me to this couple that reside in Australia that further elevated my experience. While in Australia, we mostly stayed in Melbourne but also flew into Sydney, took a ferry, stayed in a chalet, visited several animal parks. It truly was an experience. I loved my flight as I love planes. I appreciated my travel arrangements as all of my questions were answered, flights made, recommendations given and a lasting memory made. Highly recommend using Michael.

Greek Delight!
My husband and I went to Greece for two weeks, and had the most amazing time. We went island hopping, from Cypress to Rhodes, Crete, Santorini and Mykonos. Michael was tremendously helpful and made sure all of our needs were met. He even made some special plans for our anniversary. We couldn’t have asked for more :)

Turkey
Mike planned our trip to central Turkey. We flew into Ankara and spent a few days there, visiting museums and historical sites. We took the bus to Cappadocia, which was amazing! We then made our way to the old Roman town of Antalya, and the Roman ruins were very interesting. Then we flew back to Istanbul as a finale, stayed 3 days, and flew home. What a fascinating and enjoyable trip!
