A trip to Indiana offers a mix of urban excitement, small-town charm, and natural beauty. From bustling cities to serene state parks, Indiana provides a variety of experiences that cater to different interests.Day 1-2: Indianapolis Begin your journey in Indianapolis, the state capital and largest city. Start with a visit to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the famous Indy 500. Explore the Speedway’s museum to learn about the history of auto racing and see some legendary race cars up close. If you’re visiting in May, you might even catch the excitement of the race itself.Next, head to White River State Park, a green oasis in the heart of the city. Within the park, you’ll find the Indianapolis Zoo, Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, and the Indiana State Museum. Stroll along the Canal Walk, a scenic pathway that offers beautiful views of downtown Indianapolis. In the evening, explore Mass Ave (Massachusetts Avenue), a vibrant cultural district known for its theaters, restaurants, and boutiques. Enjoy a meal at one of the local eateries, followed by a show at a nearby theater or comedy club.Day 3: Bloomington Drive south to Bloomington, home to Indiana University. The campus itself is worth exploring, with its historic limestone buildings and lush landscapes. Visit the Eskenazi Museum of Art, which houses an impressive collection of works ranging from ancient to contemporary.Bloomington is also known for its vibrant arts and music scene. Take a walk through downtown to explore local galleries, shops, and live music venues. If you’re a fan of nature, head to nearby Monroe Lake, the largest lake in Indiana, where you can go boating, fishing, or hiking along the scenic trails.Day 4: Brown County State Park A short drive from Bloomington takes you to Brown County State Park, often referred to as the "Little Smokies" due to its resemblance to the Great Smoky Mountains. The park is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering miles of hiking and biking trails that wind through rolling hills, dense forests, and breathtaking vistas. In the fall, the park is especially popular for its stunning display of autumn colors. If you’re visiting in cooler weather, consider staying in one of the park’s rustic cabins or the Abe Martin Lodge for a cozy retreat.Day 5-6: South Bend Head north to South Bend, best known as the home of the University of Notre Dame. Take a campus tour to see iconic landmarks like the Golden Dome, Basilica of the Sacred Heart, and Notre Dame Stadium. The university’s Snite Museum of Art and the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes are also worth a visit. In South Bend, you can explore the Studebaker National Museum, which showcases classic automobiles and the history of the Studebaker Corporation. Nearby, the South Bend River Lights illuminate the St. Joseph River, offering a picturesque view, especially at night.Day 7: Indiana Dunes National ParkEnd your trip at Indiana Dunes National Park on the southern shore of Lake Michigan. The park features miles of sandy beaches, towering dunes, and diverse ecosystems ranging from forests to wetlands. Spend your day swimming, hiking, or simply relaxing on the beach. For a bit of adventure, hike the Dune Ridge Trail for panoramic views of the lake and surrounding area. The park is also a popular spot for birdwatching, with over 350 species recorded in the area.ConclusionI ndiana offers a rich blend of cultural, historical, and natural attractions. Whether you’re exploring the urban landscapes of Indianapolis, the academic atmosphere of Bloomington, or the natural beauty of its state parks, Indiana has something for everyone. This trip through the Hoosier State will leave you with a deeper appreciation for its diverse offerings and Midwestern charm.

Fantastic travel agent. Super knowledgeable and easy to reach! Traveling with family can be tricky to say the least but luckily Juan our travel agent knew exactly how to accommodate for my parents and my family. To our surprise he is bilingual which was super helpful since my mom only speaks Spanish! Amazing trip could not have done it without our agent!
