Colorado, with its majestic Rocky Mountains, vibrant cities, and rich cultural heritage, offers a diverse and enchanting travel experience. My recent trip to Colorado was nothing short of spectacular, encompassing the serene beauty of nature, thrilling outdoor activities, and the charming allure of its cities.Day 1: Arrival in DenverThe journey began in Denver, the Mile-High City. Upon landing at Denver International Airport, the crisp mountain air and clear skies set the tone for the adventure ahead. Denver's bustling downtown is a mix of modern architecture and historic buildings. The first stop was the iconic Union Station, a beautifully restored transportation hub that doubles as a trendy hangout spot with cafes, bars, and shops.Exploring the nearby 16th Street Mall, a pedestrian-friendly area lined with shops, restaurants, and street performers, provided a lively introduction to the city. Lunch at one of Denver's many craft breweries offered a taste of the local cuisine paired with unique, locally brewed beers. The afternoon was spent at the Denver Art Museum, where diverse collections and impressive exhibits showcased the city's rich cultural scene.Day 2: Rocky Mountain National ParkAn early morning drive took us to Rocky Mountain National Park, a must-visit for nature enthusiasts. The journey along Trail Ridge Road, one of the highest paved roads in North America, was breathtaking, offering panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and verdant valleys.Hiking the Bear Lake Trail provided a moderate challenge and immense rewards. The trail circled the picturesque Bear Lake, offering stunning reflections of the surrounding mountains. Further along, the hike to Alberta Falls featured a roaring waterfall amidst lush greenery, making for a perfect photo opportunity.Day 3: Boulder and Estes ParkBoulder, a short drive from Denver, was the next destination. Known for its progressive culture and stunning landscapes, Boulder did not disappoint. A morning hike at the Flatirons offered dramatic rock formations and sweeping views of the city below. Pearl Street Mall, an outdoor shopping area, was perfect for a leisurely stroll, with its eclectic mix of shops, street performers, and cafes. In the afternoon, we headed to Estes Park, the charming town that serves as the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. The Stanley Hotel, famous for inspiring Stephen King's "The Shining," offered a spooky yet fascinating tour. Walking along the Riverwalk in downtown Estes Park, lined with shops and eateries, was a relaxing way to end the day.Day 4: Colorado SpringsColorado Springs, located about an hour south of Denver, was next on the itinerary. The day started with a visit to the Garden of the Gods, a public park renowned for its striking red rock formations. Hiking and photography opportunities were abundant, and the Visitor & Nature Center provided insightful exhibits about the park's geology and history. The afternoon was spent at Pikes Peak, known as "America's Mountain." Driving up the Pikes Peak Highway to the summit at 14,115 feet was an exhilarating experience. The panoramic views from the top were awe-inspiring, stretching all the way to the horizon. The descent included a stop at the Manitou Springs town, famous for its mineral springs and vibrant arts scene.Day 5: Durango and the San Juan SkywayThe final leg of the trip took us to Durango, a historic town in southwestern Colorado. The drive along the San Juan Skyway Scenic Byway was arguably one of the most beautiful routes in the country. Towering mountains, deep gorges, and cascading waterfalls made the journey unforgettable.Durango itself is a blend of Wild West history and outdoor adventure. The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, a vintage steam train, offered a nostalgic ride through the rugged mountains to the old mining town of Silverton. The evening was spent exploring Durango's historic downtown, with its preserved 19th-century buildings and lively dining scene.ConclusionColorado's diverse landscapes and vibrant cities provide an ideal mix of adventure, culture, and relaxation. From the urban charm of Denver and Boulder to the natural splendor of Rocky Mountain National Park and Pikes Peak, each day of the trip brought new and unforgettable experiences. Whether you're a thrill-seeker, a history buff, or someone simply looking to unwind amidst nature, Colorado has something to offer. This trip left me with a deep appreciation for the state's beauty and a longing to return for more adventures.

Chi Town
We used Keri as our travel advisor. She helped make the trip a seamless experience given the fact we had a group of 5 girls. Chicago is an excellent destination for a girls' trip, offering a vibrant mix of cultural, culinary, and shopping experiences. The city's rich history, stunning architecture, and diverse neighborhoods provide plenty of activities to keep any group entertained.Chicago’s culinary scene is world-renowned. From deep-dish pizza at Lou Malnati's or Giordano's to upscale dining at Alinea or Girl & The Goat, there’s something for every palate. Don’t miss brunch at The Hampton Social for a lively start to your day.

Hanging Lake Hiking
We set out to hike. Keri suggested Hanging Lake and it was perfect. Not too much as we are no experts..
The trail to Hanging Lake is about 1.2 miles long (2.4 miles round trip), but don't let the short distance fool you. The elevation gain of approximately 1,000 feet makes it a moderately strenuous hike. The trail is well-maintained but can be quite rocky and steep in sections, so sturdy hiking boots are a must. The hike took us about 2 hours to reach the lake, with plenty of stops along the way to catch our breath and enjoy the scenery.

Red Rocks!
Visiting Red Rocks was an unforgettable experience. The natural rock formations were stunning, and the amphitheater offered breathtaking views. I attended a concert here, which was an amazing experience with great acoustics and atmosphere. So much to do in Colorado. Keri offers a variety of amazing adventures. Difficult to only choose a few.

Snorkeling and Dolphins
Keri, was exceptional! This was a magical experience. Swimming alongside wild dolphins in their natural habitat was a dream come true. The guides were knowledgeable and ensured that we respected the dolphins' space while enjoying the interaction.
The Sapona Wreck is an incredible snorkeling spot. The visibility was great, and the shipwreck was teeming with marine life. It was both an adventurous and educational experience learning about the history of the wreck.

The Buccaneer Resort was an excellent choice for my first stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and offered stunning ocean views. The staff was incredibly accommodating and ensured that all my needs were met. The resort had a variety of amenities, including three beautiful beaches, a golf course, and several dining options. Keri pointed us in exactly the right direction.
