I can organize your trip so you can spend a week in northern Italy or the same time in the southern part of the country. I can also arrange a gourmet tour of central Italy, or plan specific activities in exciting and historic cities, such as Naples, Venice, Florence, Rome, or Milan. You might also plan a journey to Sicily and Sardinia, two Italian islands - the largest in the Mediterranean Sea. It's easy to place Italy on a travel map, as its familiar boot shape makes it easily recognizable. Sitting in the heart of the Mediterranean, the country is sheltered by the Alps, which keep it separate from other European countries. The country's longest river, the Po, flows in the north while the Apennine mountain range divides the peninsula down its length. For example, trips to northern Italy might include taking a cruise on Lake Como and trekking the adjacent countryside. Or, I might schedule a trip to Verona, known for its interesting architecture, or include the city of Padua on the itinerary. The city is well-known for its fourteenth-century frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel. Of course, you cannot visit this part of the world without taking a ride in a vaporetto along Venice's Grand Canal. I might complete the journey with a journey to the leaning tower of PIsa or an excursion to the Cinque Terre coast. If I plan travel to southern Italy, I frequently add Rome on the itinerary or include a trip to see the mosaics and sculptures in Naples. Naples' restaurants also serve up some delicious pizza, the city of the food's origin. If you extend your trip, I might suggest a visit to Pompeii's ruins and a ferry ride to the lovely isle of Capris.
