Queenstown is a great place to visit.

Ayers Rock Uluru Travel Agent Expert

As your travel agent for Uluru/Ayrers Rock, I can tell you that this part of Australia represents more than the rock itself. It is also an aboriginal site that you must see. Sitting in the south part of Central Australia’s northern territory, the monolithic rock, most frequently called Uluru, lies about 335 kilometers or 205 miles away form the nearest large town of Alice Springs. Therefore, the attraction Ayrers Rock Uluru, is not just about a red rock landmark. There is much more to see and do in this Outback location. Did you know that camel rides are a popular activity here? Aboriginal women also teach painting techniques. You might also wonder, “What are the best times of the year to visit Uluru?”I can give you more details, as there are lots of tours to this spectacular location - tours that cover all age groups and budgets.

While visiting Uluru you'll want to learn about the Anangu culture and their customs. The Ayers Rock Cultural Center is a great place to learn about the local Anangu community and visit the gift shop to buy Aboriginal art, tools, and wood carvings. During your stay, you can take part in several cultural experiences, such as bush food tastings. The Anangu believe that by touching Uluru, they can communicate with their ancestors. Many of the other tribes in the area consider Uluru sacred. Although it was first named "Ayers Rock" by explorer William Gosse, it was returned to its traditional custodians in 1985. Since then, it has been known by its traditional name.

The mystical rock formation that is Uluru is located in the Central Australian Outback. This tourist site has a total capacity of 5000 people, and accommodation options range from simple 2-star accommodations to five-star luxury retreats. There are several popular accommodations in the area, including Sails in the Desert, Emu Walks Apartments, the Lost Camel, and the Outback Pioneer Hotel and Lodge.Ayers Rock Resort offers tent and RV camping sites, and  features a swimming pool, playground, BBQ, and outdoor kitchen, including self-service laundry facilities.

If you are planning a trip to Australia, the best time to visit Ayers Rock Uluru is during the colder months of May to July. The weather is warm during the day, and cool at night, but temperatures are still relatively temperate. In fact, you might spot some dingos, which are still present in the area. During these months, most visitor activities are in full swing. Because of its semi-arid climate, the weather at  Ayers Rock can vary dramatically. Daily temperatures during the summer can climb as high as 50 degrees Celsius or around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.Visitors should pack sunscreen and hats for protection from the sun. Compare that to the  winter months, when temperatures can drop to a mere five degrees Celsius or 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The best time to visit Ayers Rock Uluru depends on your own preferences. During the cooler months of April and May, the temperatures are moderate.

There are a number of ways to plan your trip to Uluru in Ayers-Rock Uluru National Park. The cost of a trip to Uluru varies depending on your chosen tour and airline flight. In addition, you'll need to decide ahead of time on accommodations, which should be budgeted separately. If you visit during low season, between October and April, accommodations and tours are less expensive. Are you ready to see Uluru? If so, let me be your travel agent planner and adviser. Give me a call today so we can make your trip to the Outback one special holiday!
