As a Phuket travel agent advisor, I must admit I’m enamored with the destination. Phuket City, on Phuket Island is the capital of Phuket Province in Thailand. It is one of those unique places on earth that no one can duplicate. For example, in the city’ Old Town, Thalang Road features brightly colored 19th-century shophouses and unique Sino-Portuguese architecture. Then there’s the Baan Chinpracha mansion, which a wealthy tin businessman built in 1903. The estate features shuttered windows, antique furnishings, and floor tiles made in Italy. Besides its history and architecture, Phuket is also home to beautiful beaches and incredible temples. I’ve compiled a list of some of the top attractions to see. 1. Big Buddha: The Big Buddha of Phuket is a stunning figure proudly looking over the island from its lofty perch on top of the Nakkerd Hills. This magnificent 45-meter statue is made from Burmese white marble and can be seen from many parts of the city. The immense statue guards Chalong Bay. 2. Old Town: For a taste of the history of Phuket, make sure to visit the Old Town. Here, you can wander the narrow streets, where you can explore some unique buildings, shops, and historic landmarks. 3. Wat Chalong: One of the most important Buddhist temples in Phuket is Wat Chalong. The main attraction here is the tall chedi, which is adorned with colorful tiles and statues. It’s a great place to learn more about Buddhism and admire the intricate architecture. 4. Phuket Fantasea: If you’re looking for a more lively experience, check out Phuket Fantasea. This interactive show is a unique blend of theater, music, and acrobatics, and is sure to be a hit for adults and kids alike. 5. Karon Beach: Karon Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Phuket and is known for its crystal clear waters, great snorkeling venues. You can also kayak or parasail to your heart’s content. 5. Flying Hanuman: Do you want to try ziplining? If so, Flying Hanuman is a thrilling zip-line tour located in the jungle of Phuket. Visitors can explore the rainforest from a bird's eye view on a series of zip-lines, bridges, and ladders. 6. Bangla Road: Bangla Road is the entertainment hub of Phuket. It's filled with bars, clubs, restaurants, and shops, making it a great place to party and have some fun. Whether you want excitement or serenity, Phuket offers both. Let’s continue with top attractions. 7. Kata Noi Beach: This popular beach is known for its crystal waters, white soft sand, and romantic climate. If you want to see the sunset, this is the ideal place. 8. Phi Phi Islands: The Phi Phi Islands are known for the turquoise waters and soft sands - both which invite scuba diving, snorkeling, and related water activities. 9. Patong: Patong is a vibrant beach with a whirlwind of nightlife activities. 10. Khao Lak National Park: The park is located close to the beach and is known for its diversity of wildlife and impressive waterfalls. As a travel agent professional for Phuket, I’ve given you a top ten list of attractions - places and activities you’ll want to take part in when you visit this destination in Thailand. If you’re seeking a truly unique travel experience, give me a call today. Let’s start planning your itinerary!

St Maarten/St. Martin Travel Agent Expert
I am alway pleased to book reservations for travelers as a St. Maarten/St. Martin as a travel agent professional. The island destination is a beautiful gem. This travel escape is part of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean. It comprises two separate countries - one called St. Martin (on the northern or French side) and another isle, Sint Maaren, on the southern or Dutch side. There are many things to do on St. Maarten/St.Martin as a visitor, from exploring the historical town of Frederiksted to relaxing on Maho Beach to admiring the natural beauty of the Great Salt Pond. You can have an unforgettable vacation here - one that you’ll forever archive in your memory.
What to Know Before Visiting St. Maarten/St. Martin Island
There are a few things to keep in mind before visiting this beautiful island location. Most people speak either Dutch or French as their first language, so you’ll want to brush up on these languages before you go. Creole is also spoken on the French side while Papiamento (a Portuguese-based Creole language) is spoken on the Dutch side.Seeing the Wildlife and Experiencing the Great Outdoors One of the great sights to see is the Great Salt Pond, part of the Caribbean Birding Trail, on St. Maarten. It is one of the reasons the Dutch decided to settle on Sint Maarten back in 1631. They collected the salt off the pond - a primary source of income for over 300 years. While this birding area is no longer used for salt produced, you can see plenty of birds who flock to and inhabit the area. Birds like roosting and nesting on the rock walls, including a common bird, the Black-necked Stilt. You might also enjoy a fish dinner on Maho beach or take a walk through the Zoological and Botanical Garden on St. Maarten. You’ll find plenty of native wildlife at this attraction on the Dutch side, which is north of Philipsburg. You’ll find ocelots, peccaries, monkeys, baboons, iguanas, frogs, toads, birds, and tortoises.
Where to Stay on St. Maarten/St. Martin Island
One of the best places to stay is the Holland House Beach Resort, a 3-star hotel that offers nice amenities and contemporary accommodations. You’ll find it on St. Maarten, as well as the Royal Palm Beach Resort, a hotel, by Diamond Resorts, that comes with 5-star ratings. These hotels offer superb locations for sightseeing and getting around town.
Food on St. Maarten/St. Martin
Eating on St. Maarten/St. Martin is a true adventure. One of the great local foods on St. Martin are Johnny cakes. Don’t confuse them with pancakes. They’re not the same. Instead, they are slow-fried cornmeal balls, which some people also call journey cakes. Slightly sweet, they are served at any time of the day as a snack or side dish. You can also sample dishes, such as whelk soup, crab backs ( which are crabmeat-stuffed shells), St. Maarten spare ribs, codfish fritters, conch and dumplings, and callaloo (a Caribbean vegetable dish).
Final Comments
Visiting St. Maarten/St. Martin is a great way to have a unique vacation. There are plenty of unique things to do at this popular travel destination - dining, relaxing, and shopping all will provide plenty to do and appreciate. Allow me to serve as your St. Maarten/St. Martin travel agent professional and advisor. Let’s start planning that perfect getaway now!
