It is one of those unique places on earth that no one can duplicate. For example, in the city’ Old Town, Thalang Road features brightly colored 19th-century shophouses and unique Sino-Portuguese architecture. Then there’s the Baan Chinpracha mansion, which a wealthy tin businessman built in 1903. The estate features shuttered windows, antique furnishings, and floor tiles made in Italy.
