The markets are  located in the Central district, where you can find inexpensive souvenirs and gifts to take home with you. The Food If you’re a foodie and love to try different types of cuisine, visiting Puerto Rico will be right up your alley. This Caribbean island is known for its wide selection of delicious and flavorful foods.  For example, if you’re into seafood, you’ll be in food heaven when visiting Puerto Rico. Traditional Puerto Rican dishes often feature fish and shellfish. Some of the most popular food items include Bacalao (fish with tomatoes and olives), camarones al ajillo (shrimp with garlic), and almejas (clams in a spicy sauce).  There are also many tropical fruits that are grown on the island, so you’ll be able to sample fresh and delicious papayas, mangos, and soursop.
