Seoul, the capital city of South Korea, is a vibrant metropolis where the old and new coexist in perfect harmony. Nestled along the Han River, this city is known for its striking skyline, historic palaces, and bustling neighborhoods.

The city's rich history is evident in its royal palaces, Buddhist temples, and centuries-old markets, while modern attractions like futuristic architecture, K-pop culture, and high-tech innovations make it one of Asia’s most forward-thinking cities. Food lovers will delight in the diverse culinary scene, from sizzling street food like tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and gimbap (Korean sushi rolls) to gourmet dining experiences.

Each area has something different to offer travelers. Depending on what you like, I can help you find the best location to stay in and explore. 

Here are a couple of my favorite areas:

Myeongdong: The Shopper’s Paradise. For those who love to shop, Myeongdong is a must-visit destination. This bustling district is packed with fashion boutiques, global beauty brands, and street vendors selling everything from clothes to accessories and cosmetics. It’s also a haven for food lovers, with an endless variety of street food stalls offering treats like hotteok (sweet pancakes), fried chicken, and soft serve ice cream.

Insadong: The Heart of Tradition. Insadong is a charming neighborhood that offers a deep dive into Korea’s traditional culture. Known for its antique shops, art galleries, tea houses, and traditional Korean crafts, it’s the perfect place for anyone looking to explore the cultural side of Seoul.

Gangnam: The Pulse of Modern Seoul.  This area is all about luxury, high fashion, and cutting-edge technology. Gangnam is home to upscale shopping malls, chic cafes, and glitzy nightlife spots. It is also a great area to get those facials and spa treatments you have been dreaming about for fraction of the cost.

Seongdong District: Seongdong has been increasingly recognized for its growing arts and culture scene, with numerous galleries, art studios, and performance spaces. The district attracts artists and creatives, making it a hub for emerging art and culture. Also my favorite place to try out all the cafes. With one on every corner, you won't be searching long.
