You will also want to visit the beautiful Armenian countryside. Some of the sites to visit include Khor Virap, a monastery that is over 2,500 years old ,and Garni Gorge, an ancient Roman temple that overlooks a precipitous gorge. Both these places offer dramatic views of the surrounding landscape.
