I spent eight years in the United States Army Reserves as a truck driver, working my way up to the rank of sergeant. I deployed to Iraq in 2004 and saw much of the Middle East. Now, I enjoy traveling for leisure and adventure on my own terms. When not traveling, I enjoy trail riding on my pony, writing blogs, surfing with my teenage son, and kayaking with my husband.
