SUSTAINABLE LUXURY AND ADVENTURE TRAVEL SPECIALIST

Before I joined the luxury travel industry 5 years ago, I was no stranger to roughing it. My love of adventure took me to over 35 countries on 5 continents, staying in cheap hotels and farmsteads as I biked Vietnam, backpacked Eastern Europe, and hitchhiked through Central America. I wanted to experience as much of the world as possible while ensuring I left those places as beautiful and untouched as I found them. These days I'm still seeking out eco-friendly adventures around the globe - only now I've learned to appreciate the value of a well-designed property and a high thread-count. My mission is to prove that traveling sustainably doesn't mean we have to sacrifice comfort or luxury. From remote islands in the Indian Ocean to ecolodges in the heart of the African jungle, my preferred properties all provide the highest level of service and comfort while still managing to preserve and enhance the environment and communities around them.

My Travel Specialties

Peru Travel Advisor

Like most people, the main reason I wanted to visit Peru was to see Machu Picchu. While the 15th century Incan citadel in the sky is incredible and a must-do for everyone visiting the country, I soon found out that there is so much more to fall in love with in this country. Coastal deserts, high-altitude...

Switzerland Travel Specialist

Growing up in a Swiss-German household meant trips to Switzerland every few years. The mountainous nation holds a very special place in my heart, and after visiting I'm sure it will for you too. Those interested in winter sports will be in heaven when they visit the luxurious ski lodges of St. Moritz...

Costa Rica Ecotourism Travel Specialist

Costa Rica has long been a pioneer in ecotourism and is a popular destination for both weekend getaways and extended adventures. Some of the world's best ecolodges are located deep in the cloud forests of Costa Rica, accessible only by boat or jungle trek. Sip your (locally grown) coffee on the deck...

Maldives Travel Specialist

As an avid Scuba diver, the Maldives is one of my favorite travel destinations. The turquoise waters of the archipelago harbor some of the richest coral reef ecosystems in the world and are teeming with sea turtles, manta rays and whale sharks. The islands contain some of the most exclusive eco-friendly...

Namibia Travel Advisor

Scorching dunes cascading into the frigid Atlantic. Skeletal trees silhouetted against bleached white salt pans. Namibia is a land of harsh, natural beauty. Luxurious desert lodges allow you to experience the most of the desert landscape. Take an early-morning hot air balloon ride over the dunes,...

Thailand Travel Specialist

After college I spent a year in Thailand, teaching in Bangkok and Hua Hin during the week and exploring the rest of the country on weekends and holidays. I visited secret temples, hidden waterfalls, and charming villages that few tourists ever get to see. Whether you're seeking luxury or adventure...

Boating around the Phi Phi Islands

Bhutan Travel Specialist

The world's only carbon-negative country is also one of its top-rated places to visit. The tropical lowlands and hardwood forests are home to Bengal tigers, red pandas, and takins, while the Himalayans in the north are dotted with Bhuddist temples and roamed by elusive snow leopards. Relax in a spa...

Indonesia Travel Specialist

With over 17 thousand islands, there's no shortage of places to see in Indonesia. Roam the volcanoes of Bromo Tengger, visit the Orangutans in Borneo, dive in the emerald waters of Raja Ampat, or simply relax at a luxury beach resort in Bali. Whatever you're looking for in this island paradise, I...

Rice Terraces in Bali

Botswana Travel Specialist

Botswana is one of my absolute favorite places on earth. The country's "high cost, high quality" model for tourism ensures a low volume of guests and top of the line properties, and the rich ecosystem of the Okavango Delta is one of the most pristine and well-preserved environments on the planet....

Seychelles Travel Expert

When I imagine paradise, I think of the Seychelles. This island archipelago off the east coast of Africa has some of the most luxurious hotels and ecolodges on the planet, perched on smooth granite rocks above lush jungle and white sand beaches. The Seychelles are a great trip on their own,...

Wonderful trip to Maldives
Thanks to Danny we were able to plan an incredible trip to the Maldives in less than 2 weeks. He was very knowledgable and put us in the most amazing hotel we've ever stayed at. He provided all the information we needed via email and the entire trip went very smoothly.

Amazing Alaska Trip
I took my dad on a trip to Alaska for his 70th birthday. Danny arranged the entire trip, including flights, accommodation at 2 wilderness lodges, transfers, park entries, an aerial tour of Denali, and a kayaking tour. Danny surprised us a couple of times with amenities and a picnic next to a waterfall. The trip was worth every penny.
