As I stepped off the plane in the Yucatan, the warm breeze enveloped me like a familiar embrace, and I knew that this trip with my cousin would be nothing short of extraordinary. Together, we ventured into the heart of Merida, where the vibrant colors of Cuban-inspired cuisine beckoned us from every corner.
In a quaint restaurant tucked away in the bustling streets, we indulged in the flavors of the region. Tender cochinita pibil melted in our mouths, accompanied by fresh tortillas and zesty habanero salsa.
