Lonely Tree - Big Sur

As a wine connoisseur and enthusiast I wanted to get back out to Napa & Sonoma and immerse myself in the wine country life once again. We decided to go in September for a week of wine tastings, delicious food and exploring the coast of California. Checking into Carneros Resort for our first two days started the trip off with a bang as their accommodations are top notch, the on site restaurants offer amazing food & wine, and the views of the rolling hills and vineyards from the pool deck are the best way to ease into vacation. After 2 nights there, we ventured over to the Stanly Ranch, the newest Auberge du Soleil property right in the heart of the valley. This property, from the warm greeting by the "farm hands", the check in experience, the decor + layout of the room and amenities were next level. We thoroughly enjoyed staying amongst the vines and being able to relax further with phenomenal food, both in room and their on site restaurant, Bear.

After 4 days in wine country visiting Darioush, Gloria Ferrer Winery, and Schramsberg, we headed down the coast to stay in Monterey and explore Carmel-by-the-Sea. One of our last days we drove south along Highway 1 and ended up walking this desolate yet serene beach in Big Sur, the perfect conclusion to our California holiday.

Thank you CA! We will be back - soon...
