Stop at the beach, hang with wildlife at La Jolla Cove or the world famous San Diego Zoo. San Diego’s La JOLLA UNDERWATER PARK is a marine sanctuary located in the La Jolla Cove area of San Diego. The park covers over 6,000 acres of ocean floor and is a popular destination for scuba divers, snorkelers, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding enthusiasts, The park consists of distinct habitats of: kelp beds, rocky reefs, sand flats, and incredibly beautiful submarine canyons: such the Scripps Canyon and La Jolla Canyon. There are also two artificial reefs, where underwater visibility often reaches to 30 feet of clear, scenic water. A diverse range of marine life are found, including fish, sharks, sea turtles, seals, and sea lions lounging leisurely or swimming. Humpback whales are often migrating and a huge annual number of leopard sharks are present. The KELP BEDS: explore the awesome kelp strands growing close to 100 feet tall.  Along the shore are the 7 (above the water) Caves of La Jolla with the other caves only accessible by kayak, The La Jolla Underwater Park Marine Life Refuge  is offshore from the Scripps Pier Beach, where the Scripps Institution of Oceanography is located and is also used by UC San Diego.  Guided tours of the park’s underwater areas are available or you can explore on your own. TORREY PINES STATE BEACH: is a wide, sandy beach stretching 4½ miles to the base of sandstone cliffs at Torrey Pines Mesa. Swimming, surfing and fishing are all very popular at Torrey Pines. best trip ever
I was hesitant about booking our trip online myself.
richard saved me so much time and with his excellent planning skills, and attention to details, I will never self-book another trip. Took the uncertainty out of booking – left relaxed and returned the same way.
