Guatemala Travel Agent Representative

Antigua Guatemala
Antigua Guatemala

I’m always jazzed to plan a travel itinerary to Guatemala, as it is one country that tourists love to visit. As a travel agent representative for the country, I also love to share what I know about the country’s sites and attractions.  Whether you’re seeking an adventurous vacation or wish to relax and explore Mayan ruins, I can plan a trip that is both interesting and memorable. For instance, one of my first travel suggestions is a trip to see the ancient Mayan ruins of Tikal. If you’re a true explorer, you don’t want to leave this site off your bucket list. Historians point out that this site represents an ancient Mayan city - located deep in the rainforest of north Guatemala.  Also, over 3,000 structures make up the old Mayan city of Yax Mutal, once a capital of the powerful ancient empire. Before you visit the attraction, I suggest that you read about the history of the Mayan civilization. This will make your visit just that much more fascinating.  Located in Central America, Guatemala is just south of Mexico. It features rainforests, volcanoes, and, again, ancient Mayan sites.  The capital of Guatemala City is home to the National Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology as well as the National Palace of Culture - both impressive and magnificent to explore.  Travel to Antigua, just west of the capital, and you’ll come upon Spanish colonial style buildings. You’ll also want to pay a visit to Lake Atitlan, which is part of a major volcanic crater. Both villages and coffee plantations surround the water. For the outdoor and nature enthusiast, Guatemala is a land of dreams. The country covers four primary topographical features. For example, in the south, a string of volcanoes dominates the land, and extends about 180 miles (300 kilometers) from Mexico to El Salvandor. Between the Pacific Ocean and the land mass lies a fertile plain that is about 25 miles or 40 kilometers wide.  The Peten Department is a low-lying area that projects northward, and takes up a part of the Yucatan Peninsula - a limestone area shared with Belize and Mexico. Between the Peten area and the volcanic terrain lies valleys and mountains.  These inclines and depressions arc to the east from Mexico for about 210 miles (or 340 kilometers) where they meet and extend into the northern part of Honduras. So, as you can see, you’re unlikely to get bored with the landscape. You’ll also find the wildlife in Guatemala to be fascinating.  Some of the animals you may run into on your travels include pumas, howler monkeys, ocelots, jaguars, wolves, lizards, armadillos, coyotes, iguanas, Quetzal bird and serpents. If you love flowers--especially roses--I suggest you visit the gorgeous botanical gardens that are located at the Hotel Atitlan - a lakeside property. The place is made just that more special because of its backdrop of the volcano-surrounded lake, Atitlan - a true gem in the country. Some describe the lake as the world’s most beautiful. The garden presents flowers and plants of 500 various species, carefully grown with love and care, to the very last detail. The picture-perfect landscape is always full of surprises - thereby making it a special treat for both professional botanists and people who simply love flowers. The antique rose garden is one of the place’s highlights, as it displays several heirloom varieties of roses, dating all the way back to the 1700s. Needless to say, there is plenty to explore and do in the wonderful country of Guatemala. That is why I invite you to call me about scheduling a trip today. As your travel agent professional, I can promise you that you’ll love your Guatemalan holiday.
