Hold on to your cowboy hat and get ready to experience the heart-pumping experience of riding a bull. I have the unique opportunity to plan your adventure as I am a professional bull riding travel agent vacation planner.  So, if you’re looking for a unique vacation, I’m the go-to person you need to call. This is a great spectator sport, as there is nothing that quite matches the rush of seeing these fearless athletes and magnificent bulls “spar’ in a bullring.  To learn more about this adventure, we should define professional bull riding first. What is Professional Bull Riding? Professional bull riding is a dangerous sport that has been gaining popularity in recent years. It is a rodeo event where cowboys attempt to ride a bucking bull for eight seconds. The cowboy must stay on the bull with one hand behind his back and the other holding onto a rope attached to the bull. The rope wraps around the animal’s chest, just behind the bull’s front legs. One end of the rope, or the tail, is directed through a loop on the other end before the rope is tightened. The bull rider, in turn, wraps the tail around his hand. He may also weave the tail through his fingers to increase the grip. If the cowboy stays on for the full eight seconds, he is scored on his performance. The higher the score, the more money he can win. Many of the events involve multiple rounds, also called go-rounds. The events may stretch over two or three nights overall. The cowboy and bull are given eight seconds, as the bucking bill begins to tire after this time. Professional bull riding events are held all over the world, but most notably in North America. The top riders in the world compete in a series of events called the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Championship Series. The PBR series of events has become one of the most popular rodeo activities to watch on television or to view in person. If you're thinking about attending a professional bull riding event, there are a few things you should know. First, it's important to dress appropriately. You'll want to wear comfortable clothes that can send up to the environment. Second, be prepared for loud noises and large crowds. Bull riding events are typically very noisy and crowded, so it's important to be aware of your surroundings at all times.  Lastly, don't forget to bring cash! Many bull riding venues do not accept credit cards, so it's always best to come prepared with cash on hand. What to Expect at a Professional Bull Riding Event When you attend a professional bull riding event, you can expect to see some of the best riders in the world compete against some of the most intrepid bulls. The sport is incredibly exciting, which is why it draws such a large crowd.  Here are a few things you can typically expect to see at a professional bull riding event:  -Riders will be judged on their ability to stay mounted on the bull for eight seconds. -The bulls will be randomly selected before each ride. -Each rider will have three rides during the competition. -The rider with the highest score at the end of the competition will be crowned the champion. -There will be plenty of food and drink available for purchase at the event. -You will be able to meet and get autographs from some of your favorite riders. Tips for Safe Travel and Enjoyment of the Event As with any travel adventure, there are some things to keep in mind to make sure your professional bull riding experience is as safe and enjoyable. Here are a few tips: - Do your research before you go. Learn about the area you'll be visiting and what safety precautions you should take. - When packing for your trip, include items that will keep you safe and comfortable, such as sunscreen, a hat, and, preferably, sturdy cowboy boots. - Be aware of your surroundings at all times. This means being aware of the bulls and other riders, as well as the crowd and the arena itself. If you're ever in doubt or feel unsafe, speak up or ask for help from a staff member. - Pay attention to the rules and regulations set by the event organizers. These are in place for everyone's safety, so following them is crucial. - Have fun! Professional bull riding can be an exhilarating experience, so enjoy every minute of this escapade! Think about the story you wish to tell with the pictures. Do you wish to capture the bull’s grace and power? Or, do you want to focus on the athlete? When you're actually out at the event, take advantage of any lulls in the action to scout out good locations for shooting. If possible, for instance, to find an elevated spot so you can look down on the arena and get a different perspective on the action?  Professional bull riding is an amazing, if not intensive experience, that should not be missed.
