Great Exuma & Cays Bahamas Specialist

Visiting the Exumas is a phenomenal experience and a must do while visiting the Bahamas.  Beautiful, Stunning, Magnificent are just a few works to explain the Exumas, Bahamas. 

700 islands and over 2,000 cays (pronounced keys) make up the Bahamas with only 31 of them being inhabited my humans.  This leaves much of the Bahamas untouched with pristine beaches and preserved nature.

The Exumas make up 365 of these islands and cays.  With eye popping, gorgeous sapphire waters and blinding, soft white sand, this experience will take up residence in your soul and leave you humbled.

Where else in the world are you able to swim with pigs but in Big Major Cay.  This is one of the top attractions in the Examas.  Over 6 million visitors flock to the Bahamas to add this unique experience to their photo books.  Tour guides will hand out treats and you can witness these cute little (and big) piggies swim out to great you.

Bring your mask and fins.  Checking out the world below, snorkeling these wonderfully crystal-clear waters is something you won’t want to pass up.  Star fish are abundant and the brightly colored fish dance around in harmony.  If you are on a tour, snorkel gear is provided.

If you are on a tour that includes sustenance, a stop off for lunch and more exploration at Half Moon Cay is a welcome treat.  Walking up the tiny island from the dock, you will arrive a a small wooden shack with a full bar and buffet.  Grab a plate and a rum punch and make your way down to the cay.  Relax on the beach or swim around in the different shades of blue that surrounds you.

Hold on to your boat seat because there is more…. The Exuma sand bars peek out of the spectacular Bahamian waters at low tide.  Try and find a sand dollar to commemorate this Exumas memory maker of your Bahamas vacation.

I have never travel to a destination and been unable to choose a favorite.  All of these experiences are so unique that picking a favorite would be like someone asking you who is your favorite child.  It can’t be done.

Booking your stay on the Exumas needs to be done super early as there are not as many resorts in the Exumas as Nassau.  Good to know though; you don’t have to stay in the Exumas to visit.  There are many excursions your travel agent can book that will get you there.
