Ia Ora Na, which means “hello” is what you will be greeted with once you land on the Tahitian islands. 

Tahiti, Mo'orea, Bora Bora and La Taha’a are just a few of the islands in the French Polynesia to explore. Mo'orea, A bucket-list destination for many travelers, is usually coupled with the infamous and equally breathtaking, Bora Bora. Both equally striking islands and what dreams are made of.

After touching down in Papeete, Tahiti, Mo’orea, which is part of French Polynesia, is a quick 10-minute plane ride or a much less expensive option, a 30-minute ferry from Papeete, Tahiti. The clear turquoise waters of Mo'orea allow an astonishing eight mountains to pierce its crystal, glass like surface.  These mountains rise above Mo'orea’s clear lagoons as if they were trying to touch heaven. 

Mo'orea also boasts many activities for our “can’t lay on the beach all day” or “explorer travelers”.  With hiking, swimming with sharks and sting rays, snorkeling/scuba diving the abundant and colorful sea life, trying new foods at local restaurants, etc., the explorer’s heart has much to do. 

Rainy season for the French Polynesian islands is November – February/March with the driest months being March/April – October.
